  • Zip fully closed prior to wash and dry. Machine wash cold with detergent. Tumble dry low.

Why does the bassinet & bedside sleeper have multiple height settings?

While multiple height settings can make it easier for parents of different heights and reaches to access the baby, the height settings are designed to ensure proper height setting in relation to the parents' bed height. For safety, it’s important that the top rail not be taller than the adult mattress height. For this reason, we provide 8 settings to properly adjust the bassinet as needed to your sleep surface.

How does the bassinet become a bedside sleeper?

Safety straps are provided to secure the bedside sleeper position next to your bed frame. These straps are placed under the mattress and over the bed frame or box spring for safety purposes. The panel has a hidden zipper that allows for the front bar releases to be exposed for removal and the front panel to fold down. Please note: In Bedside Sleeper mode, this item is designed for use only with adult beds that are between 19.5 and 25 inches from the floor to the top of the mattress. For safety when using in bedside mode, it is important to ensure that the provided straps are used to secure the sleeper next to your bed. Also, be certain to ensure that the base of the Bedside sleeper is lower than the top of your mattress.

Will this bassinet work with my bed height?

Our bassinet is designed to fit most bed heights. In bedside sleeper mode, the recommended range is 19½ inches - 25 inches. If your bed is taller than this range, rest assured that our bassinet is still safe to use — your baby will simply be situated a bit lower. Alternatively, it can always be used as a standalone bassinet (no matter your bed height). As a reminder, always be sure follow to follow the complete instructions for assembly and use.

Is the Infant Access Panel breathable?

As with all Newton products, our Bassinet & Bedside Sleeper was crafted with the highest standards of safety, design, and innovation. The infant access panel of the Bassinet & Bedside Sleeper utilizes a slightly different material than the mesh surround in order to properly support the infant access opening. This is made of the same breathe-thru spacer material that our breathable Original & Waterproof Mattress Covers are made of. Rest assured that this material was thoughtfully selected to allow for proper ventilation and, ultimately, a safe and comfortable sleep environment for your baby even if they move to one side.

A Bassinet & Bedside Sleeper is a type of baby bed designed to keep your newborn close to you while they sleep. This bed from Newton can be used as a stand-alone, traditional bassinet, or as a bedside sleeper.

In bedside sleeper mode, you’ll securely strap your baby’s bed onto your bed frame. This allows you to easily feed and comfort your baby throughout the night without getting out of bed.
